Delhi - Amritsar - Delhi(Golden Temple
Tour)
Day 01 :
Transfer to New Delhi railway station to board on the super fast train to
Amritsar, founded 400 years ago by the 4th Sikh Guru. It is Punjab's largest
city and it takes its name from the - 'Amrit' which means nectar and 'Sar'
which means pool. The main attraction is the Golden Temple, also called
as Harimandir or Darbarsahib and is the holiest of holy shrines for the
Sikhs.
Arrive Amritsar and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon visit the
Golden Temple. This beautiful temple complex was rebuilt in 1803 by the
sikh Ruler Maharaja Ranjit Singh in marble and gold. The domes of the
temple took 400 kgs. of gold leaf to be covered. The important shrines
notably are the Akal Takht where the arms of the warrior Gurus dress and
emblem can be seen. The 8 storeyed Baba Atal Tower, and the nearby Jallianwala
Bagh is where on 13 April 1919 more than 300 innocent people were killed
by the Briti

Day 02 : Amritsar / delhi
TRAIN : Departure transfer to Amritsar railway station to board the train
to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, you are provided with transfer to you hotel/
airport for onward connection. (Breakfast included)
Delhi - Rishikesh - Delhi
Day 01 : Dehi/Rishikesh
Morning drive to Rishikesh (224 kms / 5-6 hrs) enroute visit Haridwar
Haridwar is considered very holy, as this is the point from where the
Ganges emerges from the Himalayas to begin its slow progress across the
plains. The main ghat 'Har ki Pauri' (the footsteps of God) is suppose
to be the precise spot where the Ganges leaves the mountains and enters
the plains. Consequently the river's power to wash away sins at this spot
is superlative and endorsed by a footprint of Vishnu left on a stone here.
Upon arrival, check into Glass House on the Ganges
GLASS HOUSE ON THE GANGES - Once a private garden-retreat of the
Maharajas of Tehri Garhwal, it is set in a litchi orchard with a garden
of tropical plants, rare birds & butterflies. Moreover, this location
is considered auspicious since it is the only place where the Ganges flows
towards the north. The property offers relaxed atmosphere replete with leisure,
reading, log fires and barbecue near the banks of the river.

Day 03 : Rishikesh / Delhi
Drive to Delhi.
Delhi - Samode - Delhi
Day 01 : Delhi / Samode
Morning drive to Samode (240 kms)
Upon arrival in Samode - check into hotel
Samode Palace - The winner of the award for the best Heritage hotel
in the country, for 5 consecutive years, the Palace has been meticulously
restored offering a retreat into an aesthetically beautiful environment
where visitors can enjoy India's natural beauty and rich history. An evening
at Samode is a magical experience of former princely India and part of an
ongoing tradition.
Samode Bagh or walled garden in a sprawling 10 acres was an oasis set
among the dry rugged expanses of an ochre desert. Today it rediscovers
some of its lost splendour of a garden paradise. Shrubs of Lemon, Orange,
Hibiscus, Pomegranate, Jasmine Lantana and a beautiful array of flowering
& shade trees have been meticulously planted. Surviving the years,
a majestic central pavilion containing a "bath" stands silently
surrounded by "baradaris' or small open pavilions, sparkling fountains
& mughal water channels
This afternoon is spent exploring the village of Samode through its narrow
alleys and streets. Wandering through the village streets will give you
a wonderful insight to an unchanged Rajasthan. Overnight at hotel
Day 02 : Samode 
After breakfast, mount saddled camels for a short camel safari through
village of Samode and into the picturesque countryside which consists
of alternating sand-dunes, farm land and low lying hills. Pass through
and stop to visit typical Rajasthani villages called "Dhanis"
and get to meet and interact with local farmers and village folk. Hot
picnic lunch will be served in a lavish style under the shade of trees,
complete with carpets and rugs.

Day 03 : Samode / Delhi
Morning at leisure.
Afternoon drive back to Delhi.
Delhi - Agra - Delhi
0630 to 1245 hours
Drive to Agra through the Indian country side. Upon arrival proceed to the
Taj Mahal to see the architectural modern day wonder of the world, the incomparable
Taj Mahal. This monument is a fine example of the fusion of many architectural
styles and is one of the wonders of the modern world. Built in 1652 by Emperor
Shah Jahan.
1300 to 1400 hours
Proceed to Hotel Trident/Amar Vilas in Agra where a sumptuous buffet lunch
awaits you.
1400 to 1500 hours
After lunch visit the Agra Fort built in red sandstone with its magnificent
palaces, halls of public and private audience and the beautiful gardens.
This is where Emperor Shah Jahan was kept under house arrest by his third
son Aurangzeb and spent the last year of his life viewing the Taj Mahal
from across the river Jamuna.
1500 to 1530 hours
Visit to a marble factory to see the beautiful inlay of precious and semi
precious

stones into the marble.
1600 to 1630 hours
Finally before driving back to Delhi, one can make a brief visit to Sikandra
the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Akbar, a magnificent garden tomb. Return
to Delhi around 2130 hours stopping midway for refreshments.
Delhi - Jaipur - Delhi
Day 01 : Delhi / Jaipur 
Morning drive to Jaipur (265 kms)
Upon arrival in Jaipur - check into hotel
Afternoon enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride through the bustling bazaars. Jaipur
is renowned for textile block printing, blue pottery, carpet weaving, semi-precious
stones and local crafts which still thrive from the day of Maharaja Jai
Singh's patronage when he designed special areas in the city for the 'bandhanas',
the 'cheepas' and the 'meenakari' workers. Overnight at hotel
Day 02 : Jaipur 
Morning, tour of the impressive Amber Fort, situated on a ridge just outside
Jaipur City.
