Jaipur
Founded by Raja Jai Singh II, Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan is a major
enticement to the visitors. The city has a mystical existence as it is surrounded

Amer Palace
This magnificent fort with its huge barrier & watchtowers is believed
to have been the capital of the "Minas", the original inhabitants

The Jaisalmer Fort
Jaisalmer Fort 'Sonar Kila' is huge and expansive. It affords a splendid

Manak Chowk and Havelis
A main marketplace outside the fort leads to the narrow lanes dotted with
famous 'havelis'.
Gadsisar Sagar Tank
the lake affords a panoramic view when rainwater gets accumulated here.

Jain Temples
The fort has three exquisitely carved Jain Temples dedicated to the Jain
Tirthankaras - Rishabhdevji and Sambhavnathji.
Gyan Bhandar or Library
Some of the oldest manuscripts of India are found in this library established
as a part of Jain temples.
Bikaner
Bikaner is known for good breed of riding camels, which are among the best
in the world. The Camel festival held every year is famous all over the
globe. Here you can see many buildings made of Reddish Pink sandstone that
transcends the surrounding barren wilderness. Unlike other cities of Rajasthan,
Bikaner has been able to retain its conventional aura of the medieval era.

Junagarh Fort
One of the most grand forts of northern India-- Junagarh Fort was built
in 15th century by Emperor Akbar's general Raja Rai Singh. It remained unconquered
till date.
Lalgarh Palace
Designed by a Briton for Maharaja Ganga Singh of Biakner, this palace
exhibits a magnificent amalgamation of Oriental and European style.
The Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum
This has a large collection of pre-Harappan, Gupta and Kushan pottery. The
affluent variety of pottery, carpets, paintings, armory and coins make this
museum one of the best in Rajasthan. The Bikaneri miniatures, which are
displayed in a separate segment for local arts, make visit to the museum
a must.
Jodhpur
Located amidst the thorny vegetation and brittle yet awesome sand dunes,
lies a grand fort above 120 meters. The city of Jodhpur is surrounded by
10-km long wall with eight gates. Here you can see a multitude of palaces,
forts, temples and havelis, all celebrating the grandeur of Rajasthan.
Observe the city flourishing with traditional lifestyle and festivity throughout
the year. The city has an extreme type of climate with temperature range
variation being very high.

Mehrangarh Fort
Mehrangarh fort is one of the largest forts in India that is just incomparable
as far as its beauty and grandeur is concerned.
Umaid Bhawan Palace
Built just recently in 20th century, this palaces was constructed under
famine relief program. It has now been converted into a hotel with some
parts being retained as a museum.
Clock Tower & Sadar Market
Clock Tower is a prominent land mark that remains a main attraction. Just
sight the market has kept alive the old 'haat bazaar' culture.
Government Museum
Visit the museum for viewing a fascinating collection of weapons, textiles,
miniature portraits, local crafts and images of Jain Tirthankars.
Pushkar
There are a few places in India that can't be described and Pushkar is one
of them. You have to come here and experience the things first hand to appreciate
the real beauty of this serene town. Surrounded by hills on three sides
and sand dunes on the other, Pushkar forms a fascinating location and a
befitting backdrop.
Pushkar is among the five dhams or pilgrimages that are held in high esteem
by Hindus, the others being Badrinath, Puri, Rameswaram, and Dwarka.

Brahma Temple
It is reputed as the only one temple dedicated to Brahma in India. A red
spire marks the temple and over the entrance gateway there is a goose,
the symbol of Brahma.
Savitri Temple
The Savitri Temple, located on a hilltop, is another attraction in Pushkar.
It offers breathtaking views of the Pushkar Lake in the morning.
Pushkar Lake
It is revered as one the most sacred lakes among the Hindus. A dip in
this lake is considered to be auspicious. Many temples located around
the lake add to its charm.
Ranthambore
Who says Tigers have vanished from India? Come to Ranthambhore and spot
them in their natural habitat. Located just a few kms from Sawai Madhopur,
Rajasthan, it is one of the few places where this rare animal can still
be found roaming in the wild terrain. It is surrounded by the Vindhya and
Aravali hill ranges and is close to the outer fringes of the Thar Desert.

The ferocious Tigers
The Park has been attracting the connoisseurs of wild life since time
immemorial. It has an unmatched population of tigers that gives it a distinct
appeal and adds to its attraction. They have been frequently seen at the
edges of three lakes-Padam Talab, Raj Bagh Talab and Milak Talab.
Other wild species
In addition to this, a variety of other mammalian species that have made
Ranthambore their home include antelopes, nilgai, sambhar, chital, sloth
bear, wild boar, chinkara, porcupines, jackals, leopards, jungle cats,
fox, caracals, hyena, gazelle, Indian hare, mongoose and jackals.
The feathered Species
The Park echoes with the chirping of more than 264 species of birds that
include painted storks, white-necked storks, black storks, peafowl, crested
serpent eagles, Bonelli's eagle, Indian horned owl, quail, partridge,
spur fowl and paradise flycatcher.
How to reach
Jaipur is the nearest railhead. One can hire private coaches to reach
to the sanctuary.
Udaipur
The various lakes in the Udaipur city have made it the Venice of the East.
The pleasant climate of the city offers a welcome respite from the harsh
climate of Rajasthan. From lakes in midst of the sandy terrain to green
forested hills, the city offers many surprises that will leave you mesmerized.
Its narrow and colorful streets make it a place worth more than a brief
visit. The city also offers a variety of handcrafted items including dainty
folk toys, brightly colored garments, hand-printed textiles, batiks, and
tie & dye sarees and fabrics.

Located on a high hill, the royal City Palace is surrounded by a crenellated
wall. Inside the palace there is a series of balconies, overlapping pavilions,
terraces, corridors and hanging gardens that add to its attraction.
Lake Palace
The palace dates back to the ancient time. Today it is more reputed as
one of the most luxurious hotels in India.
Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal
The museum offers a breathtaking collection of folk dresses, ornaments,
puppets, masks, dolls, folk musical instruments and paintings.
